Why do we need sleep?
Sleep is a state of consciousnesses, giving your body time to rest and build up your strength. While you are asleep, your body goes through different stages at approximately 90 minute cycles
Insomnia is the disturbance of a normal sleep pattern - difficulty getting to sleep or staying asleep. If it occurs regularly or over a long period of time, it is called chronic insomnia
Active Mind it is when your mind is very active preventing you from sleeping occurring during the night when you tossing & turning & eventually wake up & your mind starts racing about everything you have to do. Sounds familiar? “Active Mind “. Can really effect your health emotional & physically. A build up of sleepless nights causes extreme tiredness which can give you a feeling of being unable to cope with everyday things.
Snoring is a sound made when you breathe through your mouth and nose when you are asleep. It happens when air doesn't move smoothly through your air passages making tissue in your mouth, nose and throat vibrate as the air passes through. It affects 45 per cent of the population from time to time and an estimated 25 per cent of people are habitual snorers. There are a number of reasons why you may snore.
Restless Legs Syndrome is thought to affect between two to 15 per cent of the population, with women being affected more often than men. It's more likely to occur as a person gets older and is most common after middle age.
Restless Legs Syndrome (RLS) is a fairly common, but often overlooked disorder, affecting both movement and sleep.
